Hello!! I'm back! It's been months and months but I decided to give it a try again! Nothing too exciting has happened to me. As you know from last year............................the big changes at work took place and things just keep changing. Those darn Democrats sure like to see how things work. LOL When the GOP was in office, they just wanted to know how much money we brought in and how much they could spend. But it doesn't work that way now. They want to know how much we make and how much they can save..... It can make doing our jobs pretty difficult at times. Oh well, we should be used to it! LMAO.

I have now acquired a new "puppy". As you can see I use the word puppy lightly. This little darling, Samson, is now 7 months old, and an absolutely georgous black great dane puppy. He is a giant klutz that thinks he's a Jack Russell and can leap straight up in the air. He must have a little Lab or something in him cuz he loves water. I was outside the other night watering my tomato plants and he comes running up carrying a baby possum (about 8" long not counting tail) in his mouth. It acted dead, but they do that well, so I sprayed the water up his nose, he dropped it, and I locked him and the other dogs in the house. I went in and kept looking out at it. It laid there for a long time, so we went to sleep. When I got up at 5 AM the next morning, it was gone. The darn thing could have bit me if I would have tried to pry Samson's mouth open. Thank God he loves water, but hates it up his nose!

Hope to be back soon. He's acting like he wants to eat the recliner, so I have to go take care of that!

Happy Friday to everyone, a few hours early. When Friday hits, I will be in the car headed to Daytona Beach! We, my friend and I, decided to leave at midnight instead of 2 am. I can't sleep anyway. I am ready to escape!! I haven't had a vacation since I went to Vegas with family for a wedding. Of course, the kids were there so I didn't really get to "let my hair down". LOL Like I could let this hair down. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week. I will try to blog when I get back, with some funny stories, I hope. The friend that is going down with me is in charge of bailing me and our friend, we are going to see, out of jail if we get too crazy!! Believe me, she is not happy about it, but she will do it. I'll have the car keys! Maybe I can even figure out how to put pics on blogger to show you our good time.

Happy Sunday to all!! I am supposed to be out working in the backyard, but as usual, I procrastinate. I'll get it done tho, before the "Code enforcement police" show up again. Damn nosey man! LOL I was planning on working on it yesterday, but I sat down in the recliner, to smoke a cigarette, I know nasty habit, but............. and anyway, I woke up 4 hours later. I guess I was more tired than I thought. I probably would have slept longer if my precious mr. puppyface wouldn't have woke me up. So, if the rain holds off today, I am going to hit the backyard and start wacking away at it. Then I need to start figuring out what to pack for my trip to Florida. I am sooooooooo excited. I haven't been anywhere for more than a day in years. I really need to get away and relax and I'm ready to take a long drive. I'm one of the weird people that like to drive long distances. Of course, I will stop when I need to, as opposed to my dad who likes to drive and drive and not stop. Of course, bless his heart, he had cancer and had to have his bladder removed so now he doesn't have to stop to pee. He loves rubbing that in to me, too. I always make him let me drive atleast half way if we go anywhere! He is a fun guy to travel with, even if I have to smoke when he isn't around. It does save me some money by not smoking as much. Anyway, I need to hit the yard and then call dad to tell him all about it. He will share the info with his retired friends and they can have a good laugh! He's 89 so he needs new stories to share!

OK, I need to vent. I live in a suburb of a large city. This suburb (Whitehall, my profile says so) is basically 2 steps away from the hood. Everyone around me mowed over the weekend. I was busy and didn't. I come home tonight to a "Official Notice" from a "City Inspector" telling me to mow the grass, front and back (sorry the back is a little tall) clean up junk and trash, which I am still not sure what that is. and trim bushes and flowers. I have a week to do that before they take "legal action". So, I took my night off from babysitting my granddaughter and mowed the front yard (it wasn't that high, it had only been a week) and cut down all my flowers and trimmed the fronts and sides of my bushes. I hope they are happy. And the trash they mentioned?????? Well, let me explain something. Until about 2 months ago, trash was picked up on Tuesday, so last night, without thinking about it, I went out and took the trash out, got the trash can from the back and started to drag it all to the curb. Then I remembered that I was a day early so I left it on the front porch. Now it is at the curb so I hope that makes the assholes happy. They should be really glad I am off all week from my other 2 jobs. Otherwise, I guess they would have to do the work and bill me for it! Damn (excuse my language, but......) I didn't realize I was living in Farmington Hills or Beverly Hills or something! Thanks all for letting me vent!

Happy Monday! I've been enjoying my day. I took the day off and have done some running but not too much. In and out, sitting with the dogs, relaxing and then running out to do another errand. I know it sounds crazy but it keeps me from falling asleep in the recliner. I could spend the whole day doing that but it would be a waste. Went a little while ago and tanned. First time I have done that in years. I usually just rely on the sun but there isn't enough free time in my schedule to do that before I leave for Florida. Don't want to get fried once I hit the beach or the pool. Thank goodness I tan easy. I figure about 5 visits in the next couple weeks and I will be tanner than Tweety, who I am going to visit. LOL Sorry Tweety!! I've got my little darling granddaughter tomorrow night after work, so I will hit the tanning bed on Wednesday after work! The day has gone well, except for when I hooked up the attachment on my Kirby sweeper and it wouldn't work. I looked at it and there is a piece missing, so the repair guy is going to stop by to fix it on his way home. I guess when you spend that much money on a sweeper, they give a little better customer service than Bissell. LOL Hope everyone had a great day!

Wow, it has been 10 days since I have been on here. Where does the time go?? I had kind of a busy 10 days. Went to Cleveland on Saturday for an Indians game, spent the whole day there running around and then got home around 1 am. had to to work on Sunday. Did you know they still have Roller Girl Leagues out there? I worked the semi championship for our "district league". What a trip. Those girls are wild and the people that come to watch them are off the hook! It was really a fun event to work. I've never seen people that are "players in the game" come out to the smoking area during half time to smoke and drink a beer! Check around in your areas! The people are fun to watch! Hope you all had a good week. Let me know if you have these leagues in your area. I might do a survey!!

OK, sorry I haven't written. The ac is fixed. It turned out to be the breaker. When the ac guy couldn't find anything wrong with the ac, he flipped the breaker off and then when he flipped it on, blue flames flew out from behind it. He turned it off real fast and called an electrician for me. He was here within 2 hours and replaced that and now it is nice and cool in the house. That leads to another story..............

It was not nice and cool where I was all weekend. I worked security at the NFL Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday and the Hall of Fame game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders last night. I think I sweated off atleast 10 lbs. LOL It was a fun gig tho. On Saturday I had the SE corner of the field where all the people that had seats on the field were sitting so I got to make lots of famous people show me their tickets to go to their seats!! Even pissed off a couple cops cuz they didn't credentials to go on the field so they had to stay off. I was in charge instead of them. Guess it is a good thing I didn't think about those 9mm they were carrying at the time. Then yesterday, I had the SW corner gate which was the one from the Eagles locker room and the side of the field that all the Inductees came in for the game and ceremony at half time. Saw John Madden (he had his tv make up on!!), Troy Aikman, Warren Moon and his wife and a couple others plus all the Eagles and their staff. It was a totally new adventure for me and once again, I had the say of who went on the field, even the reporters. Not that I am a control freak or anything, cuz I have never been in control, but it felt good to know that someone listened to me for a change. Hell, I've got 3 grown kids and they never listened, atleast not that you could tell at the time.

Thanks for letting me share. And if you watched the game, and watched the Eagles come on the field or off the field, I was the redhead with her back to the camera in the bright yellow Event Staff shirt!!
